What to Expect From Our Design Team

First Meeting

At our first meeting, we'll start by getting a feel for your project. If you already have design ideas, bring the drawings or illustrations with you. We'll go over them together to get a sense of what you want.

If you don't have any drawings, don't worry! We can also set up a free onsite consultation. While we're there, we'll be able to come up with ideas together and draw up sketches of our own.

Second Meeting

Once you approve our estimate, we'll meet with you to select the exact slab for your project. We'll also go over the edge detail. If you don't want one of the five standard edges, there is a wide selection of custom edges to consider.

Your cost will depend on the type of stone you choose and any custom edging you select. From here, we will set a template date.

Templating

To make a template, we'll visit the site. This is necessary to make an accurate pattern of where the stone needs to be installed. At this time, we'll go over the location of the sink and stove. We'll also plan for any seams that may be necessary.

If you have questions, we'd be happy to answer them. This is the perfect time to talk through any issues to make sure you are confident in the plan.

After the template is created, we will set the installation date. This is usually around two weeks out to allow time for the fabrication process.

Fabrication and Installation

At Legends Granite, we can fabricate your stone countertop for you. This allows us to create custom cuts, and we'll make sure you get the perfect fit for your kitchen or bathroom. The fabrication process includes:

• Preparing the slab for cutting
• Cutting the slab into the shape of the project
• Adding the edge detail
• Hand polishing
• Cutouts for the sink, stove, and other elements
• Sealer application

Fabrication can take three days or a week. When your stone is ready, we'll set up a time for installation. Most of the time, the installation will take at least a day.
